Nomad Drive Starter RV Guide: Parts, Fuel & Ignition

Build the starter camper, find the part slots, transfer gasoline and water, and use the ignition and handbrake controls.

THE SHORT ANSWER

Fit the wheels and engine-bay parts, add gasoline and radiator water, then use the ignition and release the handbrake. The fuel-transfer steps start with the side cap open.

Gather the starter parts

This starter setup uses a Hippie Van with a driver’s seat and some fuel already in place. Follow the Build your first RV checklist rather than fitting every cosmetic part before you leave.

Part Where to fit it
Four wheels The wheel hubs
Engine Lower part of the rear engine bay
Radiator Above the engine at the rear
Battery Beside the engine in the rear bay
Steering wheel In front of the driver’s seat
Handbrake Between the front seats

Hold a part, line it up with its matching slot and use E Attach when the prompt appears. Check that the wheel counter reaches 4/4 and the assembly objectives tick off.

Add gasoline

The round fuel opening is on the side of the van. Start with the side cap open before transferring fuel.

  1. Hold a Gas Can containing Gasoline.
  2. Aim at the open fuel inlet.
  3. Check that the transfer panel shows Gasoline → Gasoline, pointing into the vehicle.
  4. Use E Transfer. The can’s amount should fall while the vehicle’s amount rises.

The vehicle does not need a full 35-litre tank to match this starting setup. In the example, its fuel rises from 11.65 to 14.56 litres.

Fill the radiator

Use a Bucket or Water Jug that already contains Water. Aim at the Radiator, check the transfer direction, and use E Transfer.

For this starter setup, the coolant objective completes at about 10 litres. Use the objective and the radiator’s own level as your checks. Aim at the fitted radiator when adding water.

Start the engine and release the brake

  1. Sit in the driver’s seat. The driving HUD lists I — Ignition and Space — Handbrake.
  2. Use the ignition. You can also interact with the Ignition control beside the instruments.
  3. If Get the engine running is ticked but Turn the ignition is still open, interact with the dashboard’s Ignition control to complete that task.
  4. Use Space Handbrake to release the brake. A yellow Release the handbrake! message is a warning to check it.
  5. Check the handbrake-shaped dashboard icon: it changes from red to white after release. The warning can disappear before the icon changes, so do not rely on the message alone.
  6. With the startup objectives complete and the brake released, drive out of the garage.

If the RV still will not move

Work back through the actual startup checks: installed parts, gasoline in the vehicle, water in the radiator, ignition and handbrake. If the battery needs attention, use the battery repair guide.

Controls shown here are from the Demo’s v1.3 HUD. Follow your displayed bindings if you have remapped them.
